Construction Labor Benefit and Registration Information

Construction workers include men and women between the ages of 18 and 30 who are involved in building and other construction work such as masons, carpenters, blacksmiths, electricians, masonry, shuttering, flooring, flooring, painting and other ancillary work but are not covered under the "Factory Act 18". Free registration as a laborer or they are given an identity card as a construction laborer.

Objective
In case of death of a worker engaged in construction business during the current membership, an endowment assistance scheme has been implemented for the purpose of providing financial assistance to the legal heir of the construction worker.

If construction workers die before the age of 60, their heirs will be given Rs. Funeral assistance of Rs. 5,000 / - is provided.

Rules

From the date of registration with the Board as a construction worker

The benefit of this scheme is not available to the construction worker after the age of 60 years.

Assistance will be available to the successor of the construction worker who has submitted the death certificate along with the application in the prescribed form.

An application must be made to the successor within one week of the death.

A written confession must be submitted with the consent of the heirs.

The identity card should be renewed every year after one year from the date of registration.

The certificate of the competent authority regarding the heir has to be submitted.

Procedure

The successor of the construction worker registered for the Financial Assistance Service will have to submit an application in the Beadle form along with this.

• The successor of the construction worker has to submit his application to the office of the Deputy / Assistant, Director, Industrial Safety and Health (Factory Imperfectator) of that district. The application must be accompanied by a confession / affidavit of consent of the heirs in this prescribed form.

The above officer shall, after verifying and verifying the details given in the application, send the necessary verification within the time limit of 30 days from the date of receipt of the application to the Secretary of the Application Board with a recommendation to deny assistance.

• Taking into consideration the recommendation from the above officer of those districts to approve / deny assistance as shown above, the Secretary shall make a final decision within a time limit of 90 days. The construction worker should be informed in writing of the reasons for rejection of the application.


The approved financial assistance can be credited to the bank or post office account of the construction worker or it has to be paid in cash to the beneficiary after verification from the photo of the identity card and access has to be obtained for the payment.
