Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama's big statement again on the issue of starting schools in Gujarat

Bhupendrasinh Chudasama's big statement

Currently, schools are closed throughout the state during the Corona period.  Online education of children is currently going on in the state.  But no decision has yet been made on the children's exams.  Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama today issued a statement on the issue of starting schools at a time when educational complexes in the state are yet to be revived.  The issue has once again come to the fore in the face of the Education Minister's statement on starting schools.  Bhupendrasinh Chudasama said that sometimes the school has to be started.  The opinion of the Health Department is important.  We have had discussions with parents, academics.  And only then should schools decide to start.

Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama said, "Sometimes we have to start school."  But it is not right for the government to decide alone.  I and the Department of Education have been constantly having discussion webinars with parents and people involved in education.

Now that phase is near.  We get feedback from webinars.  The opinion of the health department is the most important.  Any student needs to pass the board exam to become anything in life, only then one chooses the direction of any life ahead.  As a result of hard work, the government has focused on maintaining quality.  Maintaining confidentiality is essential for quality.  Super has managed to prepare the result despite the adversity so far.  However, Khat Muhurat is the solution.  Working in different places so far, now everything is done in one place.

It may be mentioned here that yesterday (Sunday) a webinar was organized between Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama and school administrators on schools.  This webinar gave a big signal about opening schools in Gujarat.  The school will not be open for children from Std 1 to 5 in the state even after Diwali.  After Diwali vacation std.  Schools will be started for students from 9th to 12th.

In addition, the state government is considering giving exemption to children of standard 6 to 8 in rural areas.  Not only that, but the Diwali vacation has also been shortened by the government.  Jatin Bharade, vice-president of Gujarat Swanirbhar School Board of Governors, said that in the first phase, 9 to 12 schools will be started and then if the situation is under control, discussions will be held to open small classes.

In a recent webinar organized by school administrators, state education minister Bhupendra Singh Chudasama had hinted that primary schools would not open even after Diwali.  He said that after Diwali, school for students of Std 9 to 12 can start.

On the other hand, the parents of the children hoped that the Gujarat Government would give Mass Promotion to the children this time.  But the Gujarat Education Department turned the tide on the parents' hopes.

The Board of Guardians demanded mass promotion up to standard 1-9.  But the education department has clarified that no consideration has been given for giving mass promotion from standard 1 to 8.  Thus the state government rejected the demand of the Board of Trustees.  The education department also appealed to parents not to be misled.

Corona transmission in Gujarat and the country is slowly declining.  Cinema theaters, shopping malls have been allowed to open in phases with wide concessions.  But schools are still closed.

Consideration is being given to open closed schools in Gujarat after Diwali.  Today, Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama held an online meeting of principals, SMC members and parents of various schools in Kutch to know their views.

In the meeting held in the presence of the education officers of the district primary and secondary education office, 18 important suggestions have been sorted out and sent to the director of primary education and the board of secondary-higher secondary education.  The suggestions made in the meeting are as follows:

Std 9 to 12 schools should be started first.  Classes of 10th and 12th should also be given priority

20- 20 to 25 students per class should be seated in the classroom

Schools should ensure full compliance with COVID-19

♦ Schools should have more entry points for admission of students

♦ Schools should not have recesses for students as transition is likely to occur

Obtain the consent form to send the parents of the students to the school as well as see the certificate of the health department that the child is not infected

If classes are started in the school, study should be done with the discussion of the main topics of Std. 10-12.

Make sure that the child leaves the school on his / her own.  Do not send the child to another vehicle

♦ Immunity booster doses should be given to students as well as staff by the government or other institutions

♦ Students at school should be able to use items brought from home such as snacks, water bottles, etc.

Students should be called in phases as per standard in school

Schools which have hostel facilities should give admission to the hostel within the limit of 50% only after testing every child

Schools should be started in rural areas where transition is less than in urban areas.  Quick schools can be started even in urban areas where there are no containment zones

Arrangements should be made so that children from rural areas who come to study in urban schools can study only in rural areas.

♦ When students are called to school, there should be a gap of 1 hour according to the standard and classes, students should be called as well as leave should be kept accordingly.

Students in rural areas have difficulty in Std. 11-12 Science stream due to network problem so such classes should be started immediately.
